The design of this Prospect Heights cafe uses pattern and texture to enliven industrial materials at every opportunity. A common porcelain tile was cut in a repetitive pattern to create a unique wall installation. Materials meet at edges to give a reading of planes meeting to define surface.
The rich palette of concrete, reclaimed wood, and textured porcelain tile reflects the elemental quality of the organic cuisine and the personality of the owners.
