Grand Street Apartment
This project on the Lower East Side required the precise insertion of a modern kitchen and bathroom into an existing 1500 square foot apartment built in the 1950’s. A folding plywood canopy in the kitchen unifies the space and
modulates between varying wall planes. In the bathroom, the tub area is lined with colorful tiles to define the space of the shower. A custom poured concrete sink and curved tile floor complete the space.
