Gramercy Duplex
Located in a 19th century historic townhouse in Gramercy, this duplex apartment with room access shines after a complete renovation. JKA designed a custom fabricated spiral staircase to anchor the two floors of living space and provide access to the roof at a third level. On the lower two floors, a navy blue kitchen complemented by leathered blue marble anchors the space. Herringbone floors to match the original maintain the historical integrity of the space. A custom mantel is offset by twin bookcases which are lined in a textured wallpaper to match the walls.
Upstairs, the guest bathroom pairs a graphic printed grasscloth with a subdued marble tile. The primary bath was expanded to create the ultimate owner’s suite. It features an integrated pelle grigio vanity top with matching floors and walls and is lit dramatically by the skylight above.
